Knowing The Difference Between A Mind Desire And A Heart Desire

And how one of them causes unnecessary pain in your life

Have you ever wanted something so badly, but then when you got it, you still felt empty?

Or perhaps there was that person in your life that you really desired but when you finally seduced them… it turned out to be a toxic relationship?

Welcome to the land of mind-led desires.

It seems like the normal way of things on our planet. We want something with our minds and then proceed to go out and get it. We chase, we struggle, we fight. And so many times, when we do get what our minds desire, it makes us suffer so much.

There’s a reason for this:

Mind-led desires are usually born of negative subconscious patterns.

So if you want something because that material thing or person will help you feel better about yourself, then you are inviting pain into your life. When we use the material world as a means to fill holes inside, we are bound to live an empty life.

Heart-led desires do no such thing.

Heart desires come from the deepest part of who you are.

They come from your soul.

A heart desire doesn’t bring you pain because it is not born of subconscious patterns. The heart doesn’t want something in order to fill voids. The heart is always perfectly complete and connected to your expanded consciousness.

Now, when a desire comes from the heart, you will obviously still use the mind to help manifest that desire. The mind is a magnificent tool of creation.

But the key word here is tool.

When you are able to quiet your mind and uncover the subconscious thoughts that generate mind desires, then you evolve exponentially.

But the quieting of the mind does something else too:

It allows you to listen closely to what your heart desires.

When we align our heart truths with the power of our minds…we are truly unstoppable!

So how do we get there? How do we begin to listen to our heart’s desires?

I like to follow this simple 3-step process:

  1. Close your eyes and take 3 deep breaths through your nose.
  2. As you breathe, focus your attention on your heart area and visualize a light shining at the center of your chest.
  3. As you hold your awareness on your heart, ask this question: “What does my heart desire?”

Don’t let your mind answer that question. Just let it float out there. The answer may come in a minute or it may take a week. But your heart will eventually answer.

And when it does, have the courage to follow through on what it says. Even if your mind protests.
